The Toccata is a
carbon frame with internal aluminum lugs that are
tig-welded. This system, which is also used in
frames using Deda's "Black Soul" and Columbus' "XLR8TR"
system, gives the
frame builder unprecedented freedom when building
with carbon to give each frame exactly the geometry
desired. Each frame size, as with our aluminum and
steel frames, has its own optimal geometry.
Materials:
Only
high-strength, high-modulus carbon filaments
developed first for the aerospace industry are used
in our carbon tubes. These premium carbon fibers are
mated to the epoxy resin with a technology that
results in a very dense, thin, strong, light tube.
We cannot write their names here, but the company
producing our carbon tubes has proprietary
technology that is available elsewhere under other
brand names for much higher prices. Our carbon
factory-direct buying will save you a huge amount of
money. Our obsession with geometry and ride insures
that the ride is Torelli quality.
I
personally test rode the final prototype for three
months before sending the shop our first purchase
order.

Design:
- The
Toccata is TIG welded
using internal aluminum lugs that are
bonded to the carbon tubes.
- All
Torelli frames have a unique geometry for
each size and the Toccata is no exception.
The Countach is designed with "stage
racing" geometry. You can ride a
Torelli for hours
in comfort. The Tocatta is no exception.
- Brake
routing is split external for lighter
weight and crisper braking.
- The
paint is Dupont Imron, applied in the
United States
